Montaudon Brut NV Half Bottle

Add Your Review

The particular Pinot Noir grown in Montaudon’s own vineyards, brings a consistent power to this wine. A soil mainly composed of yellow chalk as well as a quite specific climate in this area provides quite a unique wine. The predominance of Pinot Noir provides the structure while a touch of Pinot Meunier rounds the blend. Chardonnay adds the elegance and finesse essential in a perfectly balanced wine.

Beautiful golden straw-yellow in colour with a foaming necklace of tiny and long lasting bubbles. Pleasing on the nose: initially very expressive, it delivers hints of floral aromas (linden), then of ripe fruits (pear and apple). The first sip delivers all the freshness and forcefulness so typical of this Brut Reserve Premiere. The attack is clear and decisive. It develops a symphony of fresh fruit taste. Note the fine balance between distinction and forcefulness.

Recommended as an aperitif or served as a dessert wine, complementing a fruit salad with white fruits, such as pear.

“Crisp and juicy, with a pretty floral note winding through flavours of Fuji apple, apricot, anise and candied orange peel. Fresh and focused, with a slight grain to the texture and a smoky sub note that lingers on the finish. - 91 Points, Wine Spectator
