Green Spot Whiskey 12 year old Cask Strength

Add Your Review

This Single Pot Still, cask strength whiskey was released in 2005 to celebrate Mitchell & Son’s 200th year in business. The 12 Year-Old was limited to a run of only 200 bottles, each signed by R. Jonathan Mitchell. An extremely rare whiskey indeed!

Nose:
Spices and zesty oranges abound, even a distant trace of coriander; uncompromising barley sugar and heather.

Taste:
A stunningly wonderful arrival: layers of sweet malt at first, but takes a battering from much sharper, more prickly grain and spices.

Balance:
An enormous, vigorous mouthful; a degree of bourbon style liquorice, vanilla and caramel; a single cask restricted to exactly 200 numbered bottles to mark the 200th anniversary of Mitchell & Son. This is the first Middleton pot still I have seen at this strength outside of a lab. A one-off in every sense.
