This Single Pot Still whiskey was released in 2005 to celebrate Mitchell & Sons 200th year in business. The 10 Year-Old was limited to a run of only 1000 bottles, each signed by Mr. Robert Mitchell, making it a very rare whiskey indeed.
Nose:
Firm barley and orangey fruit with gentle hints of early bourbon: some serious ageing effect on this.
Taste:
Mouth-watering and firm, then a gradual increase in the barley input and spices.
Finish:
Shafts of honey throws a sweetening light on the bitter marmalade.
Balance:
Launched to celebrate the 200th anniversary of this wonderful Dublin landmark, this is bottled from three mixed bourbon casks of Irish Pot Still. Only 1000 bottles released.
