Mount Horrocks Watervale Semillon

Add Your Review

Very pale with a light green edge. Classic straw and lemon semillon aromas with supporting lightly spicy, nutty oak. A mouthfilling wine, rich in ripe lemon and pear, a hint of herbs and lovely textural elements from barrel fermentation. That’s not to suggest the oak is obvious, it merely underpins the very stylish fruit, working well with its fine acid balance and crisp savoury notes. An inviting, food-friendly alternative to chardonnay that will surprise many. Little wonder it’s ranked amongst Australia’s best.
