Mitolo "The Jester" Cabernet Sauvignon

Add Your Review

Dense purple in colour. Masses of blueberries, cassis and leather on the nose with intense aromas of coffee and mocha. Spicy lifted and pure, the 2010 vintage has a 20% 'Amarone component' which adds juicy savoury tannins, richness and elongated length.

"“20% of the 2009 Jester 'Monarco' Cabernet Sauvignon undergoes the same passito (Amarone) process as the estate's 'Serpico' label of semi-drying grapes. It displays a very deep garnet-purple color with notes of warm red currant, blackcurrant and dried herbs plus a subtle whiff of earth and black truffles. Crisp, medium-full bodied with a medium-high level of grainy tannins, it gives a long somewhat chewy finish. Drink it now to 2016."” –

"A vivid, generous version, this delivers a tight mouthful of black currant, espresso, tomato and floral flavours that push against mild tannins through the long finish"
