One of the oldest chateaux in Bordeaux, Chateau Cadillac dates back to the 17th century. It is a single-vineyard estate located near Fronsac on the same geographical axis as Saint-Emilion. Geographically, Cadillac is a logical part of the large Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux appellation, but the presence of chalk and gravel soils here mark it out as a distinct area, capable of producing wines of particular character.
The Chateau is owned by the Lesgourgues family since 1991 who also owns Chateau Laubade (Armagnac) and Chateau Haut-Selve in the Graves area in Bordeaux.
