Alta Vista Alto 2004/2005

Add Your Review

Hand-harvested Malbec/Cabernet Sauvignon blend matured for 15 months in new French oak barrels. Very small production. Alto is the quintessence of the best terroirs of Argentina. Deep ruby-red in colour with complex aromas of black fruit, spice and hints of chocolate. On the palate it is elegant and full-bodied with silky tannins and a long, intense finish. Alto is a rich, complex and sensual wine with an excellent aging potential of 10-15 years.

“Shows terrific intensity and drive, with a torrent of fig paste, macerated currant, boysenberry and blackberry fruit riding over dark, loamy tannins. Muscular and mouth-filling, but with riveting acidity buried deep on the lengthy finish. Unabashed in style, and very impressive. Best from 2009 through 2015.” 95 Points Wine Spectator
