"This is an unqualified sleeper of the vintage, a beautifully opulent, rich, dense, ruby/purple-colored wine with sweet cassis fruit intermixed with some licorice and resiny notes. Quite full-bodied, pure, with good, sweet fruit covering moderate levels of tannin, this is a beauty and an undeniable bargain for a wine of this quality. In fact, Im not sure that its not even better than my rating. Anticipated maturity: now-2015." 89/100 points.

The history of Chateau d'Angludet can be tracked back to the 12th century despite the vines were planted during the 17th century. Owned by the Sichel family since1961, Angludet is situated at the heart of the prestigious appellation of Margaux and surrounded by Cru Classé properties (Château Giscours, Château Brane Cantenac and Château du Tertre). It is the responsibility of Benjamin Sichel, whose constant quest for quality is reflected in his policy of drastically limiting the yield of each vine plant and finding the natural balance of the entire vineyard, in order to get the best expression of this exceptional terroir in every glass. Angludet's wines enjoy a worldwide reputation for their elegance, aromatic finesse and their exceptional ageing potential.
