Niepoort "Redoma" Branco

Very fine and complex aroma, with mineral and citric notes, apricots, peaches and white flowers aromas, with a slight smoky character. This is a very elegant Portuguese white.

There is a citric and mineral fresh flavour, along with almonds notes. It has good volume and concentration with very good freshness leading to a long and complex finish.

"The 2009 REDOMA BRANCO is a typical old vines (40-80 years) Douro white blend of grapes like Codega, Ribatejo,Donzelinho, Viosinho and Arinto, aged for 8 months in French oak casks. The oak is a little noticeable at first here, but the wine goes right to the fruit and acidity. There is some bite on the finish. I loved the bright, sunny demeanour and its grace and charm, plus its persistence on the finish. The longer it airs out, the more the fruit and acidity comes through.
